The Interrogator signals someone O.S. and suddenly voltage
races through the wire, causing Troy to gnash his teeth
together so hard they chip. He writhes in pain.
INTERROGATOR
(in subtitles)

A SECOND IRAQI gestures defensively at a console that is
connected to the wire around Troy's jaw. A THIRD IRAQI
reaches forward and turns a dial. The SECOND IRAQI murmurs
defensively and turns the dial back.
INTERROGATOR
Just figure it out.
The Interrogator turns back to Troy.
INTERROGATOR
Are they coming to help the Shiite?
TROY
No.
He is jolted again -- his face contorts, he bites his lip.
INTERROGATOR
Tell the truth, dudesky. Save us
the big bummer.
Troy starts to cry, represses it. His lip is bleeding.
INTERROGATOR
Does it hurt?
Troy says nothing.
INTERROGATOR
I ask you question, bro.
TROY
Yes, it hurts.
INTERROGATOR
You bomb my family. Do you know
that?
Troy starts shaking slightly.
INTERROGATOR
You blow up my home. The whole
street. My wife is crush by big

Emotion comes into the INTERROGATOR'S VOICE as he says this.
TROY
(whispers)
That's horrible.
INTERROGATOR

told you the horrible part yet.
The other two guards listen sadly.
INTERROGATOR

TROY

本片导演,大卫O拉塞尔,是个奇怪的导演,在中国“现在”被低估,在美国“曾经”被高估。90年代时“高龄”出道的他本来应该和昆汀一起,在00年代把自己的风格发扬光大,却在又十年之后的10年代才正式在美国考自己的作品立派显名(依据豆友的说法,《斗士》《乌云背后的幸福线》《美国骗局》三部曲),更别说之后在韦恩斯坦倒台后,拍出来一部又一部烂片,被人所嫌弃。
在我看来,在MTC的高分代表作光环下,此人只能算是美国独立电影界的中上水准的导演,有自己的风格,后期也有自己逐渐关注的点,但到底说没有更多的创新,在冲奥和美国个小电影节应该也算受欢迎,但其作品和创作理念并无多少可以启发下一代的导演创作(相比之下,不说前面的斯通后面的昆汀,连中间的吃老本的凯文史密斯影响力似乎都比他厉害,【手动狗头】)当然,此人也是有两把刷子的,在我看来,《夺金三王》就是他的最佳作品。
见怪不怪的战争题材,在普通的动作film和深沉点的反思之后,其实还可以拍出荒诞的感觉的。牛逼如《全金属外壳》,欢狂如《陆军野战医院》,而本片也是走的这一条路,并且导演在结构上面的苦心孤诣,虽然比不上老库,但是也是着实下了一番功夫的。
开头定调是所有优秀电影都不约而同遵从一个规则,本片一开始枪杀探子的戏码,剪辑的慌张,摄影的邪性就展现在了观众的面前,而黄色的介绍字幕配上骚骚的音乐划过美军士兵的军营场景时,一种由视听语言所带来的黑色喜剧感,油然而生。
当然,看过全片的,都会发现后面的剧情明显变慢,并且在结局理想化外,竟加入更多的反思的戏码。导演为了过度自然,一方面设置一条媒体人的线索,将这种带有猎奇性质的剧情插到后面的人质拯救和夺宝剧情中,虽说狂乱了不少,但当观众适应了这种叙事,就不会在结局到来只是有出戏的落差。另一方面,至少在牛奶村庄之前,尽全力塑造的是一种“兵痞军营”真实感觉,而无多夸张,只是在剪辑上加入叙事外的风格化。这样的编排,对比《节选修订》的不真实记录,《锅盖头》的说明书式散文片段,实在是让人赏心悦目。
当然,到后面来,你会发现导演后期的要素都在本片中可以找到雏形。比如,虽然已经尽力,但难免的后期力不从心;模仿老马的流畅运镜和表达剧情走向压力的蒙太奇;以及文戏上时不时出现的伍迪艾伦式的絮叨。(倒是美式家庭这点没怎么看到,emmm)
总之,如果你只看一部O拉塞尔的片,这部足够了。

冲着George Clooney而去的,10多年前的一部片。玩商业电影对他来说没难度,玩这种类似或直接的政治片,是他爱好。现在他的电影越来越多是这种类型。反正他的电影现在不映射点什么政治问题好像就过意不去。
拿到这年份来看,20年前的海湾战争,为了什么不必要再去理会。片中伊拉克的军人在对美俘用刑时,透露出来的感情、感觉等一系列情绪,不用再多加解释。所以美俘最后也无法对该军人痛下狠心,人之常情。

夺宝,嘲讽,反战,人性,什么都有点儿也什么都点到为止。拉塞尔的手法是亮点,将本应沉重且矫情的题材处理的相当不俗。
可以看作是一个舞台剧 三王一傻想私吞黄金最后良心发现拯救伊拉克叛徒于政府军屠刀之下 以一死一伤黄金上缴的代价成功为自己脸上贴金 活生生把美国战争行径美化为正义解放 全片唯一一个质问美国人的伊拉克士兵最后也被男二心血来潮的道德感所压制 毕竟美国再不对也比你们对啊。悲哀。片子其实对战争实质与媒体的趋利本质都有所着墨 但毕竟是一个娱乐向商业片 你指望什么呢?更别提美国90年代以来一副代表宇宙一切正义的嘴脸总是会以次要指责政府-军方主要谴责外国人的方式做到最终让每个观众安心为止,当电影谢幕走出剧场,总得让这些观众油然升起一种自豪:嗯 做美国人 挺好

人性其实是世界上最不可预测的东西。不要高估人性的恶,也不要低估人性的善。

對美國伊拉克戰爭的小隱喻,美國為了金子來iraq爾不是什麽正義和人道。雖然依舊是美國的沙文主義和好萊塢的舊把戲。
不得不承认,之前对欧拉塞尔有些轻视了
原来大卫·拉塞尔也是走的独立电影的路数,这个反战题材也竭力要做的不同,不过那些闪回和慢镜总是有点蠢,故事的发展也始终不太自然。
大卫欧拉塞尔总能展现出自己的与众不同,即使是反战题材也要以看似闹剧的夺宝故事来体现,并将战争下疮痍呈现在主人公面前,于是夺宝变成了救赎。斯派克琼斯演了一个配角,声音竟然是那么细嫩~
尽管还是充满了美国人世界警察般的自以为是,尽管对于战争本身的反思只是点到为止,情感转折也生硬了些,但这片子做得真是有趣,几处闪回幻想和插入段落着实精彩,对白和人物冲突也挺好玩的,虽然最后还是皆大欢喜式的结局,但在这样一部电影里谁不喜欢这样的Haapy Ending呢?
开头结尾好看,中间反而冗长……斯派克以30高龄把个有点傻的小年轻演的惟妙惟肖
中东战场题材的电影太多了,作为其中之一 没有什么出彩的地方
四个人偷金子,形成一个阐释战争的微观模型,麻雀虽小五脏俱全,关于战争的那些事——挂羊头卖狗肉、舆论导向、旁观的刺激与真实的残酷,都有了,不过也都没有深入。只是降至个人层面,人性还可以被擦亮,比起政治层面还是乐观美好得多了。中二少年Spike Jonez真嫩啊。
尽管故事的设定和发展都有一点不合情理,但它仍然是不错的剧本,情节点的设置及时而巧妙,对付这样的一部娱乐电影是绰绰有余。虽然有着创作痕迹,但这是一次不错的人道主义展现。电影中的三位主角俨然成为了现代战争中的侠士,虽然具有种种凡人的弱点,却终究怀着济世救人的心肠。
4.5星,基情太感人了,导演太坏心了,康拉德和特洛伊活着在一起多好啊,还非要生离死别的,还特写了一下有婚戒的那只手,怕我看不出来吗……
在现代战争环境下的「尤利西斯式漂泊记」更显得荒诞,与经典价值观中「寻找」有所不同,故事的主人公(经济学意义上的流浪汉)所梦想获得的财富继续印证着资本主义世界「金钱万能」的价值观,虽然最后依旧是一种「人财两空」却「精神充裕」的理想主义,不过所见所闻的这个分崩离析的世界应该成为某种核心表达,却事实上最后被观众和评论者所忽视。
用好莱坞商业片的架势去拍一个反战的故事,既保障了对美国现代战争的反思,又是充满趣味的观影过程,特别是乔治·克鲁尼和马克·沃尔伯格两位魅力男星的出演让这个主题和想法都蛮有意义的黑色喜剧获得了更高的关注度。大卫·欧·拉塞尔是位很值得关注的独立导演,今年有部奥斯卡大热《乌云背后的幸福线
